Sapphire HD4890 Vapor-X 2GB

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky is another game that takes advantage of the capabilities of DirectX 10.1, and it also happens to have a free downloadable benchmark.  Set in the time period before Shadows of Chernobyl, the player assumes the role of a mercenary in a radioactive wasteland.  Based on the X-Ray 1.5 engine, Clear Sky makes for a popular benchmark.

For the today's review, testing was again done at 1680x1050, with all other settings maxed out, including DX10.1 rendering and 4xMSAA.

4890 Vapor-X:

STALKER scored respectably well, placing only a few frames per second behind the Toxic and Atomic cards we reviewed previously.
