Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X:

Next up is another DirectX 10.1 benchmark, this time coming from the new Tom Clancy "H.A.W.X".  If you haven't seen this game, it is a fantastic looking arcade style flight sim.  Fortunately, the game also has a built in benchmark, which is always handy.  Just like the Unigine bench, we are going to split the single GPUs and the dual GPUs into different resolutions:

Single GPUs:

The single GPUs were again benched at 1680x1050, 4xAA, with all other settings maxed out:

4870 Toxic:

4890:

Surprisingly, both cards scored almost identically.  Sounds like this bench just might be CPU limited....

Dual GPUs:

The dual GPUs were run at 1920x1200, with 8xAA this time:

4870X2:

4890 Crossfire:

For this test, I got some odd results.  I don't think its likely that the 4890 Crossfire is truly 57% faster in this game at these settings.  Unfortunately, the short deadlines makes retesting a difficult proposition.  In other words, keep your grains of salt handy.
