Crucial System Scanner

Test Methodology:

To test the Sapphire 4850 Vapor-X, we used a similar test bed as our recent 4890 reviews, as well as the same tests.  But there is a difference.  This will give us a pretty good idea exactly where the 4850 stands in the current marketplace.

CPU: Intel i7 920 @ 4.0GHz
Motherboard: DFI X58-T3H6
GPU: Sapphire HD 4850 Vapor-X @ 625/993
RAM: 6GB of Crucial Ballistix Tracer 1600, 8-8-8-24 2T
Case: Danger Den Torture Rack
Sound: Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeMusic
Cooling: Apogee GTZ, MCR320
Hard Drives: 1x1500GB Seagate Barracuda
2x150GB Raptor X
PSU: Corsair 1000HX

Here is a recap of our tests:

  • Crysis: Warhead

  • Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X

  • X3: Terran Conflict

  • Stalker: Clear Skies

  • Unigine Tropics

  • 3DMark06

  • 3DMark Vantage

Let's continue on, shall we?
