Features

One of the key features of the Albatron FX5700U3 is the triple fan arrangement which is a great way to take care of the thermal problems related to the FX going from 2D to 3D modes. What the extra fan helps in is when the card senses a temperature outside of its programmed maximum, the extra fan kicks on to maintain the clock speeds of the card without throttling down and causing a loss of performance. The 5700U3 also has new componentry that you won't find on any FX series card. The 475/950 default clock speeds are incredibly higher than even a regular FX5900, but it doesn't do this without a major manufacturing change. Using Samsung modules K4J55323QF-GC12, the 5700U3 has the ability to operate well within the limits of the card.

About the only thing you can really see is the name Samsung. but hey you can't say we didn't try to get a a decent pic of the modules.

One of the first things that this card really impressed us with was the overall packaging.

Quite the package! Consisting of Duke Nukem, a demo game pack, WinDVD Creator, driver disk, and assorted S-video and RCA cables.

The ram modules, and CPU core are cooled as one using a simple but effective cooler. One of the nice things about this card is the removal of the heatshield which was used on every FX5900 we've seen thus far...

The four holes make alternative cooling a very welcome option to those wanting to get the most out of this card.
