Testing - Overclocked

Overclocking the X850XTPE proved to be quite interesting to say the least. It didn't take long before we figured out that the memory was already pretty much maxed out at it's default of 590MHz. Increasing the memory clock by as much as 2 or 3 MHz would cause artifacts to show up in the benchmarks. It looks like ATi has already pushed the memory to it's limits. As for the GPU, this was a totally different story. From the GPU default of 540MHz, we were able to take the card all the way up to 575 to 580MHz. 575MHz proved to be 100% stable, so that's what we went with for the overclocking benchmarks.
