Installation (cont.)

First thing we did was lay the
parts out. Then we jumped straight in to putting the controller in
an empty 3.5" drive. |

Controller is in and now it's
time to start hooking things up. |

Lights are installed next and
finally everything is hooked into the controller. |

This product is very simple to
install and probably took 15 minutes from start to finish.

The controllers come in your choice
of black or silver and they can control three fans and two neon lights.
The fans have a separate control knob for each fan and one control knob for the
two lights.

The back consists of three,
three-pin fan headers and two headers for the lights. Are your case fans
not three-pin connectors? That's alright, because the extension cables
that are included also except the 4-pin fans. Let's look at the finished
product.

Looks pretty clean up front with the
stealthed CD-rom drive and the stealthed floppy drive.

Conclusion
Vantec has came up with a very nice
product that is easy to install and will easily improve the looks of your box.
What's better, is the product is functional as well. You can dial the RPM's on your fan to just the right level of performance versus noise. The
light control can be set in three positions, on, off, or sound activated.
This product is a very simple way to draw a little extra attention to your case
the next time you go to a LAN.
