Performance
Overall the Vantec performed admirably during our tests which
consisted of testing anything from a 40mm chipset fan to a 84 CFM 80mm Tornado.
The NXP-301 has no problems handling big fans and even took some double fan
arrangements using "y" connectors with no problems. The only thing found
questionable was the sound activated CC module. During testing the CC's were
stuck in sound activated mode. After reviewing the instruction manual I noticed
that the NXP-301 has to be restarted at first in order to run in non-activated
mode. After a quick restart it worked just fine. As far as esthetics the NXP-301
is a welcome addition to any case modder looking for full-control of their fans
and lights. ClubOC recommends this product solely on innovation and overall
quality.
