Installing the Musketeer only took a few minutes. In fact, it was one of the easiest controllers I've ever installed. There are only a few cables to connect; power, audio, temperature, and CPU fan power. There is even a nifty PCI cover plate that contains the audio in/out plugs. Speaking of audio, the Musketeer does not control the volume level, it only reads the volume level with the VU Meter. The VU meter slide controller simply adjusts the "audio sound pressure" of the VU meter. Still, it is very cool and adds that home stereo look to your PC.

     Some of you may still be wondering just what all the Musketeer can do for us as computer enthusiasts. I hate to say this, but the Cooler Master Musketeer is all about eye candy, and less about features. As you can clearly see, there are only three meters. One for CPU fan voltage, one for sound pressure, and one for temperature. The two sliders are for CPU fan speed and sound pressure. That's really it. It's pretty much "what you see is what you get". Regardless, the Musketeer is a very high quality device that is sure to add a touch of class to your PC.

Did I mention the meters light up? Definitely more cool points...

Conclusion

     Overall, I really love the Musketeer. It may only detect and/or control three simple aspects of a PC, but it has to be the best looking controller/sensor I've ever seen. The quality of the unit is by far the best I've seen in any controller or sensor that has come across my desk this far. Leave it to a computer case manufacture to make something this heavy duty!

     The Musketeer may not be a sole answer for your case modders out there, but it is an excellent addition to any case that will really turn some heads. Excellent product Cooler Master! The Musketeer rates very high in innovation, performance, and quality, but will take a hit on value due to lack of features. Club Overclocker Approved!
