The headset is very well constructed. It has large ear cups that have thick cushions allowing you to wear them comfortably for extended periods. I wore them during several hours of gaming and never experienced any discomfort. The headband also has thick padding that evenly distributed the weight of the headset.

The left earpiece houses a retractable microphone. Having the mic retractable is a very good idea. Unless I'm using ventrillo, I don't want to have a mic in front of my face distracting me.

The 5H V2 has a volume and mic control built into the cord. The control also has a clip on the back so you can attach it to your shirt so it won't swing around.

The cord is very nice. It features a braided outer coating similar to the high-end gaming mice of Logitech. This feature will help keep the headset from tangling.
Conclusion
After several hours of listening to music, watching movies and gaming it was clear to me that the headset was lacking in its ability to reproduce bass. Even playing with the equalizer, I could not get any real bass. It sounded like I was listening to music with the bass set to 0 and the treble set to 10. Giving a rating on a device that is very open to personal opinion is very difficult. Steelseries has produced a very well constructed headset. As with most of their products, the quality is outstanding. They just need to pair their workmanship with a set of quality speakers. Then they would have a top rated product. At close to $70, they need to sound better.
