OCZ ModStream

All of us were probably thinking it "Why do these darn power supplies have to have so many LONG wires?" A few people probably even took matters into their own hands and just started cutting and trimming the wires,  splicing in terminal hook-ups so that the wire bundles could be easily removed. All of us were wishing that power supplies would come from the factory in a similar fashion; and one day, they did. The Modular power supply was met with great enthusiasm as most of our wishes came true. Since systems with fewer devices required fewer wires, we could pick and choose from the pre-assorted bundles and use only what we needed. Since the design met such a welcome introduction, manufacturers have started getting a little more bold in their designs.

Meet the ModStream from OCZ Technology. OCZ  made quite an impact with the PowerStream, and that same kind quality is obvious throughout the whole package of the ModStream. OCZ did put thier focus on a slightly different market by not including the power adjustment enhancements. While the ModStream is still able to hold-up a modern day gaming rig, the adjustable power rails have been traded in for custom wiring.
