With today's incredibly powerful processors, massive hard drives, and dirt cheap memory, "servers" are breaking out of those gigantic towers and slipping into something a little more comfortable. What we normally vision as the small to average server is some gigantic box sitting in the basement of a business. Those giant and expensive boxes are going away as servers are getting smaller and smaller. Small to mid size businesses no longer need to spend many thousands of dollars on a giant server box when a moderate full tower equipped with the latest hardware will serve you just as good, if not better.

As we shrink the size of our server boxes, let's not forget that we still need a heavy duty power supply. With servers that must maintain a 24/7 uptime, a redundant power supply is still a must. We all know those big boxes may be able to house a redundant power supply, but a mid or full tower ATX case??? Thanks to I-Star, we can replace that ordinary PSU with a heavy duty redundant power supply and still have room for other hardware!

I-Star has sent over one of their new power supplies called the TC-400R8A. This bad boy may look massive in the picture above, but it really isn't that much larger than an ordinary PSU. With such a small form factor for a redundant power supply, the TC-400R8A will fit in many mid or full tower cases.
