Cooler Master, one of the best computer case manufacturers on the
planet, has a new line of power supplies called the Silent Pro M.
Although not yet available in the United States, the Silent M series
is designed to meet the demands of the low to mid price range computer
market. As a single rail power supply, the Silent M really isn't
designed to meet today's high end system requirements. Instead,
Cooler Master has targeted owners who want a high quality power
supply, but don't have a need for those spare no expense, gaming
power supplies that you can jump start your SUV with.

One of the new features you will see with the new Cooler Master
Silent M series is the all new flat modular cable design, which
appears to be the reason why the Silent M hasn't his the United
States just yet. It appears that someone has already patented
this design so we have to wait for the patent permissions to be
worked out before the unit can be sold in the USA. Pesky patent
office... Anyway, while the lawyers make the big bucks, let's
take a look at the Cooler Master Silent M 500w unit to see if it's a
welcome addition to your next mid tower build.
