More Features...

One of my favorite features of this PSU is the ultra high quality cables. Each cable is sleeved with heatshrink over each end to prevent the sleeving from moving. Even the heatshrink and power connectors are UV reactive! An absolute 1st class job...

Performance

Looks are great, but what about performance? One of the critical areas we look at when testing PSUs is the 5v line. A low quality PSU will not put out a steady 5v. Sometimes they wont even measure up to 5v at all. As you can see from the screenshot below, the 5v line is putting out a steady 5.13v.

Conclusion

Needless to say, the MGE XG Vigor 500 is one of the fanciest power supplies we have ever reviewed. It has everything we are looking for in a power supply, and more! When it comes to mods, MGE had done it all so you don't have to. This is definitely a top rate PSU meant for those who only want the best of the best. For a power supply like this, I would expect to pay at least $100 to $150 easy. maybe more. To my amazement, Cooler Guys is selling this baby for under $90. If you go there right now, you can even grab this PSU on sale!
