Crucial System Scanner

The ReadyNAS NV+ is the name of the baseline unit. Infrant offers different models based on how many hard drives you want pre-installed and the RAID configuration it will ship in. You can start with an empty unit and add drives you already own (provided they are on the ReadyNAS compatibility list) or you can choose from Infrant's ready-made configurations. Each and every one of the NV+ models also has the ability to act as a pritn server as well. You can attach any USB based printer to the ReadyNAS and have full print capability. Of course, you'll still need the driver for the operating system and printer.

For those folks that want to know a little more behind the scenes info about the ReadyNAS, the above slide is for you. We can see that the ReadyNAS is built upon RISC architecture and uses Serial ATA bus. In addition to the hard drive compatibility, Infrant also maintains a list of SO-DIMM modules which can use used to upgrade the units memory, and provides complete installation instructions. The operating system is stored on flash memory which makes it very responsive and easy to update. Connection to your network will be through Ethernet at 10/100/1000 megabit speeds. From my own perspective, I'm more interested in what the ReadyNAS can do, rather than how it does it. So lets start looking at the features.
