The goodies

In the box
you'll find the VPC-1000, the VPC-1000 audio bracket, cables, antenna, power
supply, remote control, and directions. It may look like a lot to install, but
in reality it's not. The audio bracket is NOT a PCI card, it is a stand alone
bracket that mounts in any open PCI slot. The audio bracket is actually the
hardest part about installation as this is where all the cables and power are
connected.

I
discovered that the audio bracket is actually mislabeled. My bracket is labeled
"rear audio" and color coded blue, when in reality, there is no rear audio
connector. The blue connector is audio in from your sound card, and the other is
audio out to your speakers. The RCA looking connector is for the included
antenna. The last connector on the right is for power. The mislabeled connector
threw me off at first, but the directions and diagram showed the proper wire
routing.

Above is a
close up of the back of the card. This is where the small ribbon cable is
connected. The two smaller connectors are SPDIF and digital audio out, which go
to your sound card.
