One of the nice things
ABIT has implemented in their newer boards is better cooling for the
northbridge chipset. This sideways mounted fan pushes more air than if
it were mounted downwards blowing air onto the board.
All the new motherboards
we have seen lately seem to be pushing Serial ATA pretty hard. Here
you'll find 4 SATA ports and only one IDE port.
LGA 775 is really growing
on me as I've realized how much easier it is to install a CPU. Plus
there are no more CPU pins to damage.
Above is the Intel Pentium
4, LGA 775 processor. As you see the pins are gone.
Here you'll find all of your audio, USB,
Firewire, Gigabit LAN, S/PDIF IN/OUT, mouse and keyboard and printer
ports.
