Let's talk about the Hypno Crytal Maxx fans now.  These fans provide good looks and function to your case.

     PCToys again sent over two of these fans, and to be truthful I saw the fans and just thought this is another fan that has some LED's built in.  Man was I wrong.  In the above picture you see a small circuit board and 5 little traces.  Those traces lead to some very small LEDs that light up at different times while the fan is spinning.  This produces some very wild lighting effects.  It's very easy to see where these fans get their name.  Let's take a closer look at where the fans get their lights.

     There are the five LED's built into the spinning circuit board and in each corner of the fan is a bright blue LED.  The Blue LEDs are controlled by the circuit card as well and alternate on and off.  It was very difficult to get decent shots of the fan spinning, but these will have to do.

     In the above picture you can see that one has all four blue LED's lit and the other has two.  You can also make out the red LED's on the circuit card.  Your going to have to trust me that they produce some cool visual effects.  Are you ready to see the finished product?

Conclusion

     There really isn't anything ground breaking here, but these simple little mods really changed the look of this computer.  It was well worth the time and effort to transform this case into what we see here.  The total time it took us to complete this transformation was 3 hours.  This may seem like a long time, but we really wanted to take our time and do a good job.  I want to thank our fellow gamer Premodder for donating his rats nest for us to tidy up and I want to thank my wife for giving up the table for a day of modding.  I know she'll make me pay later.
