Wintec AmpX PC2-5400 1gb DDR2 Memory Kit

While AMD has yet to take advantage of the speed of DDR2, it's the only way to go if you're upgrading with Intel. When DDR2 first came out, the memory timings were very high which offset any performance gain with higher bus speeds. As time goes on we are seeing memory timings drop.

Today we get to look at a new memory company for the first time, as well as test memory with the lowest timings we've seen so far with PC2-5400 (675MHz). Let's check out Wintec's AmpX PC2-5400 1gb dual channel memory kit and see how it stacks up against other brands.

AmpX Description:

AmpX Gamer Memory is designed, optimized and tested to support intensive gaming and breathtaking performance. The 675MHz guarantees that users will achieve maximum bandwidth utilization without any compromise in stability. Dual Channel Kits with matched memory pairs are also available for those seeking additional performance and benchmark gains! All AMP-X Gamer memory modules feature integrated aluminum heat spreaders (with thermal paste) for optimum thermal dispersion and increased performance.
