Test System

For this review I'll be using two separate test systems. The first is based on Intel's new 915 chipset and Socket 775, while the second is my trusty Pro875B board. Each CPU will be same speed, but one is a LGA-775 and the other is a Socket 478.

System 1

Hardware Model
Motherboard: Albatron Mars PX915P/G Pro
CPU: Intel Pentium 4
2.8GHz (800MHz)
LGA-775
Video Card: Albatron Trinity PCX5750
Memory: PQI Turbo Memory
PC3200-1024 DPU
ULL 2-2-2-5

System 2

Hardware Model
Motherboard:

DFI LAN Party Pro875B

CPU: Intel Pentium 4
2.8GHz (800MHz)
Socket 478
Video Card: ATi Radeon 9800XT 256mb Gold
Memory: PQI Turbo Memory
PC3200-1024 DPU
ULL 2-2-2-5

Testing - SiSoft Sandra

Benchmarking will be accomplished by using SiSoft Sandra and then I'll run Doom3 benchmark on each system. Let's see how things went...

SiSoft Sandra Memory Bench (higher score is better)
System 1

4782MB/s - 4786MB/s

As I've come to find out, the i915 chipset is a bit slow, however the memory performed extremely well.

SiSoft Sandra Memory Bench (higher score is better)
System 2

4848MB/s - 4843MB/s

The Pro875B chipset steps up to the plate and shows us that it's still the better choice when it comes to the P4.
