That extra FSB speed really boosts performance.

Everest tests the memory in a bunch of different ways.
That's one of the reasons I like to use it. Overall, the
memory performed alright. The latency scores are really
high, but what can you expect with the memory timings.
Next up is the PCmark05's
memory test.

As you can see
from the above scores, the memory
overclock along with the increased FSB speed improved the
overall scores. Lastly, I'm going to use the 1M test
in SuperPi mod 1.5XS.

Conclusion
It was very interesting to test DDR3 for the first time here
at the Club. I was very pleased with the results, but
on the other hand it wasn't exactly what I was expecting.
Testing was favorable, and the DDR3 was able to
overcome the high latencies with the increased bus speed.
Just like DDR2 when it first came out, DDR3 will
continue to go faster and with tighter timings. At this
point in time, I do not believe you need to make the switch to DDR3
just because it's the newest thing. However,
Patriot does give you some incredible memory. But in order
to play with the incredible memory, you're
going to have to shell out a lot of your hard-earned cash
because this particular memory kit will set you back about
$545. Regardless, we will not give a product a negative review based on price
alone. As with anything new, if you want the top of the line
product, you're going to have to pay for it. Club Overclocker
