Test System
For this review we'll
be using an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe motherboard which is based on Intel's
975X chipset.

Testing
|
The majority of
testing we will be using SiSoft Sandra Pro Business version
2007.9.10.105. ClubOC has been using SiSoft Sandra for many years and
it's pretty much our favorite benchmarking program for testing memory
and processors.

Running at CPU
defaults and the memory at 1067MHz was extremely easy. I simply plugged
in the memory, set the memory timings and voltage and rebooted. You just
have to love this ASUS board, it's very Overclocker friendly.

Unfortunately
1100MHz at 2.2v was a no go. I had to spend a little time tweaking the
memory and voltage and settled with 2.4 volts. No matter what I did, the
only way I could get this memory to run at it's advertised memory
timings was to boost the voltage. I ended up spending several days
testing this RAM trying different bios combinations, but it all came
down to voltage. I even spent some time discussing this issue with OCZ and have
confirmed that this memory needs a little more voltage to run with the
Intel C2D. AMD systems do not appear to have this issue. Just keep this in mind if you purchase this RAM.
