I used some pretty special memory
for this review. I used some PC4000 Gold Beta.

This memory uses a good week of Hynix brand memory
chips on the famous "blue" 6-layer PCB. We should be able to get some
pretty nice results. This memory previously topped out at 265MHz 1:1 at
3.0v. Let's see what we can get with 3.6v.

275MHz 1:1 is not too shabby. I know there are
a lot of you out there with some BH-5 memory and seeing this is making your
mouth water at the possibilities. Just remember to check the motherboard
compatibility chart before using the Booster.

OCZ also sent along some new enhanced VGA & HDD
cables. These cables are shielded to block Electro-magnetic interference
and Radio Frequency interference. This will help prevent the snowing
effect that poor power can produce through your video card. Most new power
supplies are including one of these cables built into the power supply, but you
have to choose which device you want the shielded power to go to. Now you
can shield the power of two more devices.
Conclusion
The OCZ Booster is a device that is going to change
the overclocking world. Now anyone that can install memory can have a
voltage mod. The only real disadvantage to this device is it takes up one
memory slot. If all of your memory slots are filled, your stuck with an
old-fashioned voltage mod. The advantages far exceed that one
disadvantage. The booster is a true plug in voltage mod. OCZ had
truly made it easy for you to take overclocking to the next level.
