     The memory speeds just keep getting faster and faster.  At this rate we should see DDR600 in no time.  There have been a few cases of individuals overclocking their memory to DDR600 levels, but I think the time is short until we see DDR600 available.  Until that happens you are going to have to "settle" for PC4200 or DDR533 memory.  GeIL has been making fast memory for a while now, and currently they are among the fastest in stock speed.  GeIL was kind enough to send over a dual channel kit of their fastest memory.


GeIL has decked out their fastest RAM with Platinum heatspreaders.

     You can see the faint remains of the original memory manufacturer in the above picture.  In this instance, GeIL chose Hynix as their memory chip.  In the below picture, I've highlighted the "H" in hynix.

     I don't believe GeIL is trying to hide anything here.  The truth is most high speed memory is either Hynix or Samsung chips.
