Plextor PX-SP08U 80GB Shock-Proof Hard Drive
When most people hear the
name plextor they automatically think of high performance optical
burners. Plextor has made a name for themselves by making the
fastest CD and DVD burners you can get. Recently, they expanded their product line to
include portable hard drives. These hard drives presents an
interesting alternative to flash drives. I was recently browsing
at a local store when I saw an 8GB flash drive for $179. I
couldn't help but wonder why someone would pay $179 for an 8GB drive
when Plextor is offering 10 times the storage for $10 less. I have
to say the 8GB flash drive wasn't much smaller than the Plextor.
Let's take this drive out for a spin and see if it's worth your money.
