Installation

For this installation, the CM Sphere will be installed on an Intel C2D 6600.  The 6600 that I have is a very good overclocker, but is extremely hot.  It's a L629F batch number.  I've ran it at 3.8GHz under water, but today I'll only be running at 3.2GHz at 1.325v, simply because of the heat output.

This is the installation of the Intel adapter.  The two brackets are screwed to the base of the heatsink.  At the end of the brackets a screw and rubber washer are installed.  If you are the type that doesn't read directions, like me, then you may have a difficult time installing the screws.  They are threaded backwards.  This is a very cleaver idea because when you are installing the heatsink, you cannot get a screwdriver on these screws to hold them while you install the nuts.

Installation on the motherboard is simple once the motherboard is removed.  Pretty much any large or heavy heatsink is going to require the motherboard to be removed, so we might as well get used to it.

The only clearance issues that may come up is if you have a large heatsink installed on the northbridge.
