3DMark CPU Tests

For a closer look at CPU gaming performance, we are going to specifically look at the CPU testing portion of 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage.  Higher scores are better in both tests.

In 3DMark06, the stock X4 940 beats out a stock Q9450, however on a clock for clock basis, the Intel system still wins out.  At 3.7GHz, the Intel architecture holds a 9.3% lead over the 940.

In the Vantage CPU test, the stock Q9450 beats out the stock X4 940, and holds a steady lead throughout the entire test run.  The Intel architecture clearly has an advantage here.
