     As overclockers, we strive to get our components the coolest we possible can.  Most of the time this means we resort to water cooling to get the best cooling at the most economical rates.  However, watercooling a video card can get pretty expensive.  A full waterblock for a video card that covers your video RAM runs around $150.  If your computer has two video cards, you're going to be spending a lot just for cooling.  An alternative is to just buy a GPU waterblock and put heatsinks on your memory.

     The CPS-22 is the larger of the two, coming in at just under 1 inch.  The CPS-12 is nearly half the size at about 1/2 inch.

Both are made from a solid chunk of pure copper to provide the best cooling.

The CPS-22 heatsink is perfect for the larger memory used on older video cards.

     The CPS-12 heatsink is just the right size for the newer BGA memory.  Installation is super easy, just peel and stick.

Conclusion

     Copper heatsinks aren't anything new but people tend to overlook their usefulness.  Your video card will be much cooler with them than without them.  Your application will determine what type of cooling you need.  If you are going for the highest overclock you could possibly get, you may want to look into something more extreme and more expensive.  If you are simply looking to keep you components cooler and possibly extend their life a little, these heatsinks may be for you.
