Vantec, the authority in computer mods, is at it again with a whole new batch of products. Today we take a look at Vantec's new Spectrum Fan Card. This card is similar to many of the card coolers we have seen in the past, but Vantec has taken the card cooler to a whole new level!

     The card cooler is designed to install into an empty PCI slot on your motherboard. It even mounts like a PCI device, however, it obtains power from a 4-pin power cable, not through the PCI slot. Unlike card coolers of the past, the Vantec Spectrum is made out of UV reacting plastic. The dual 70mm fans even have built in blue LEDs, which makes the Spectrum light up like a Christmas tree!

     On the back of the Spectrum you'll find a very handy variable fan speed controller. This is one feature that was desperately needed on previous card coolers. The fans may be very thin, but when you crank up the speed, these babies put out an incredible 29.54 cubic feet of air per minute. With that much air flow, you can count on it improving the overall temperatures in side your case. Of course this depends on how well your case is cooled already. Normally, card coolers like this one do best installed directly under the video card. There is will help keep your precious video card cool, while helping to circulate the air inside your case.
