There are two places to mount fans directly to the chassis itself.
A fan mounted on the front oft he chassis is normally considered an
intake fan. Oddly enough, Sunbeam did not install an
intake fan. So that leaves us to do the legwork.

It's a simple
matter of unsnapping the face plate and removing the 3.5" drive bay.
The instructions are even in the manual for the enclosure on how to
do this. Since good ventilation is a must, we'll go ahead and
install one for good measure.

The
Double Core-Fan rail is meant to be a tool to help increase
ventilation within the enclosure itself. By using low speed fans at
the intake and exhaust positions you can reduce a lot of noise
outside the enclosure. However, low speed fans also do not move the
highest volume of air, so Sunbeam has come up with this as an
alternative. It's usefulness is going to depend most on the type of
system you intend to build, as we'll see in a moment....

The last
avenue for ventilation is on the side panel. While the bottom air
grille is for passive air movement, the top grille is intended to be
used with either an 80mm or 120mm fan. The fan will remain inside
the enclosure. To add a slight accent to the enclosure, Sunbeam has
installed a low speed blue LED fan.
