I've personally reviewed countless cases since we first started out
in the fall of 1997. I've been to many LAN parties and I've seen
hundreds of cases given the "personal touch". Now add that
experience together with the experience of my crew. I don't want to
sound like an egotistical jerk, but if there is anyone qualified to
judge a case on it's quality and features, it would be Club
Overclocker. Besides, Paul and I started putting light and window
mods in cases even before overclocking caught on and people back
then called us crazy! Now the only crazy thing is the fact they we
never put a patent on our work. But hey, at least I can vouch for
Paul as he was the very first person in the world to have a window
mod in an old off white AT case that housed one of the worlds first
overclocked Intel Pentium 133 processors. Yes, that was a very long
time ago... Today, I see many of our ideas being put to work as well
as many other personal works done up by the other original
overclocking sites. These ideas are even catching on right at the
factory. Cases have come a long way over the years and the only
limit is your imagination. It has been years since my last major
case mod project and I've pretty much given up the "chop up your own
case" approach. Now when I come up with an idea, I pass it along to
my sponsors. These days resellers like
CrazyPC have
the high-tech tools needed to not only cut the simplest of blow
holes and window mods with laser precision, but intricate designs
right into the side of a case.
Today we have what could be the best
built mid tower ATX case man has ever seen. Known as the Lian Li
PC-61, this jet black aluminum case has been the desire of
many of us
overclockers for quite some time. Not only have we obtained this
precious beauty of a case, but
CrazyPC has
also added a biohazard symbol that is laser cut right into the side
of the case! The time has come once again to pass judgment on yet
another computer case...
