Specs:

  • Size: 490(L) x 210(W) x 450(H)mm
  • All aluminum case material.   Color: Silver, Black
  • 2 fans: 12CM low-noise ball bearing fan in front with a washable filter, 12CM  fan in rear, 3 position of adjustable fan speed
  • Total 9 device bays: 4 x 5.25" bays, 5 x 3.5" (3 hidden)
  • Panel feature: Power, LEDs
  • Removable front panel and power supply plate
  • Removable 3.5" bays for easy installation
  • Front I/O ports: IEEE 1394 port x 1, USB 2.0 x 2; MIC x 1; EAR x 1
  • Transparent Side Window

The front I/O ports are concealed behind a simple door which to those of you that haven't used one before they simply operate with a little 'click'.  One nice touch is the ability to plug the front ports in using standard pin outs or via separate leads for a nonstandard pin out, this kind of non-proprietary is one of the many positive aspects of Lian Li ownership

Up and running, the 120mm fans run cool and quiet.  Even without the top fan the PC-7A Plus moves a good volume of air which is more than sufficient for most of us overclockers out there.  It is easy to visualize a full 120mm radiator in the back for a good size radiator  for those water cooling fans. The clean aluminum finish provides a simple elegance that we have come to expect from all Lian Li products.

Pros:

  • High Quality workmanship
  • Extremely light weight construction
  • Removable PS and drive bays
  • Efficient, quiet airflow
  • I/O ports and versatile cabling
  • Offset tool provided

Cons:

  • Not Tool less
  • No 80mm included
  • Cost
  • Every other case feels cheap in comparison

Conclusion:

Lian Li has produced some of the most sought after high end Aluminum cases on the market.  The PC 7A Plus is no exception. The quality of the chassis is peerless and a joy to work with.  My only disappointment is the lack of a tool less install option. The clean look and extraordinary weight of the PC-7A make this case an easy recommend!
