GigaByte 3D Aurora
Full Tower ATX
Enclosure
.jpg)
As with all
enthusiast style, high-end enclosures, the 3D Aurora's faceplate is also
constructed of aluminum. Even the door is made of aluminum, held in the closed
with magnets, and can be locked with a mechanical key lock.

The lower
portion of the faceplate is the locale for the power/reset button and other
input/output ports. The power and reset buttons will all be hidden and secured
by the faceplate's door when it is closed. This leaves access to the USB,
FireWire, Audio, and power / HDD lights. The grill is manufactured in such a way
as to maximize the air intake to the 120mm fan. Both directly from the front and
indirectly by the large slots in the sides.

With all
that potential airflow, there is also the potential to turn the inside of the
enclosure into a dirt trap. GigaByte's solution was to create a fabric based
filter that will completely seal the entire vent area. The filter is removable
to make cleaning the filter as easy as possible. We can also see, the small
pre-mod enhancement set into the faceplate. In the upper middle of the filter,
there is a small LED which will illuminate the blue bar across the front of the
enclosure and emanate out the holes in the grill.
