On the inside...

The inside of the ITower 930 is jam packed full of innovative new ideas. Some are great ideas, other just seem to be in the way. Let's start with the side brace which doubles as a cooling port and video card brace.

The side brace is very simple to remove and that's probably a good thing because it's the first thing I would take out and store in the shipping box. The side brace is not needed, the video card brace is not needed and the cooling port isn't really needed. Some people may like to use it and it's great for keeping a video card in place for shipping, but to me this big hunk of metal and plastic just seems to be in the way.

Cooler Master has switched from an all plastic optical drive lock, to a plastic lock with metal tabs. This design works far better and holds the drives securely in place. I really love this new design and hope to see this feature on all cases.

Here you see the new locks with longer metal tabs.

Cooler Master takes the tool free design even further with these very handy quick release locks for expansion cards. These work much better than those big clumsy tool free locks that lock all the cards at once. With this design, you only unlock the card you want to remove or install.

The blue plastic housing you see above is not just for the hard drive cooling fan, but it also covers the circuit board and wires for the integrated hard drive racks.

Under the blue housing and cooling fan is this circuit board for the hard drive racks. It has 4 SATA ports, one for each hard drive. There are two 4-pin power ports that not only power the hard drives, but also power four, 3-pin fan headers. This is a great design and pushes this case to a big fat 10 out of 10 rating in the innovation department.

Conclusion

Hands down, the Cooler Master ITower 930 is the most innovative case we've seen in the past several years...maybe the most innovate case we've ever seen. The ITower 930 simply has everything and more. There are enough cool features on this case to make any computer enthusiast very happy. With such a great tool free design, building a great computer system has never been so easy, not to mention fast!

The ITower 930 does have a couple features that I'm not 100% happy with such as the location of the media ports and media port opening of the front door, but for $150 this case is a great buy even without a power supply. The case is well built, well designed and to top it all off, looks great! Club Overclocker Recommended!
