Layout Cont.

The feature that stands out the most, is the huge 25cm fan on the side panel.

The fan has a dial on the side that controls the RPMs. Dial the RPMs up to meet your cooling and noise requirements.

Wrapping up the cooling fans are two, 8cm exhaust fans.  You can see they are all the way at the top and there is no place for a power supply at the top.  You can only see the extension cord that runs down to the power supply location.  We'll talk about that in a minute.

Now we can see where the power supply is supposed to go.  It's located right under the internal 3 1/2" drive bays.

Let's take a closer look at installing the power supply.  To remove some of the heat, Casebuy has a fan installed in the front that forces hot air out of the case.  The floor of the case in perforated to allow the power supply to suck in cool air from the bottom.

This power supply bracket need to be removed and attached to the power supply before you put the power supply into the case.  To get the bracket out, you will need to pull off the front of the case and remove the 6 screws that hold the bracket on.  Now you can attach it to the power supply and reinstall the bracket with the power supply.

As you can see from the picture, you will not be able to get to the back of the power supply with the front panel installed.  So, if you have any special switches or knobs on the power supply, you will not have access to them.  As far as hitting the power switch to remove power from the board during a BIOS reset, you can still just unplug the power supply.

Another problem I encountered was the length of the power supply.  This power supply overlapped the motherboard tray and could interfere with motherboard installation, depending on the board.  Another thing to consider is this power supply is a couple of inches shorter than my Enermax Galaxy power supply.  So, while I like the idea of moving the power supply to the bottom of the case, you will have to be careful and choose your power supply carefully to make sure it fits.

Conclusion

The case has a lot of potential.  Casebuy has tried some new ideas and while I like them, I think they still need a little refining.  The case has a great paint job and the fit is also great.  All of the metal edges are rolled to help prevent scrapes.  I think Casebuy is going in the right direction here, but they need to make the case more compatible with more power supplies.  I have three power supplies in the lab; an OCZ Powerstream 600w, Enermax Galaxy 1000w, and the Aero-Cool Zero-dba 620 that was used in the photos.  None of them fit and the Aero-Cool power supply was the shortest one I had.
