Internal View Part 3:
 |
As for the bottom hard drive rack, it isn't quite as fancy as
the top rack, but it does have sound dampening grommets to
absorb hard drive vibration. |

It
seems as if everything in the P182 is sound dampened. Antec has taken
sound dampening one step further
by adding rubber strips to areas that could vibrate against side panels
as shown in the photo above.

The
P182 may appear complex, but it is extremely simple to use. Another
great feature of these Antec cases are the slide out 5.25" drives. A
plastic and metal rail is installed on either side of a drive such as a
DVD ROM. The drive is then slid in from the front of the case and clips
firmly in place. This makes life much easier when it comes time to add
or removed drives.
Conclusion:
When your a computer hardware enthusiast, finding a high quality case
you love that will last for many years of hardware upgrades is a lot
like searching for that perfect soul mate. The thing is when you do find
that soul mate, you just know it because it feels right. The Antec P182
is the soul mate of computer cases. It's big enough to house pretty much
any computer hardware, even large water cooling kits such as in the
Swiftec P180 we reviewed a little while back. The P182 has ALL of
the cool features you could ever want like removable hard drive bays,
water cooler ready, fan filters, external variable speed fan controls,
slide out 5.25" drive rails, sound dampening material everywhere you
look, and much more. Antec has taken their best computer case ever, and
made it even better. The P182 is simply the perfect computer case for
the hardware enthusiast.
