Packaging and Hardware:

The M40's packaging is pretty typical. The case was covered in plastic wrap and packaged in styrofoam to keep it from moving around during shipping.

You get all the hardware you need to put this case together.  You get a bag of screws, two screwless optical drive fasteners, owners manual, a couple of quick reference sheets and a couple of squares of tape to hold the temp sensor in place.

External View:

This case has a cool black finish with black trim, you can also get this case black with a silver trim. It has a cool LCD panel, and we will go into more detail on that later.

As you can see, the micro-ATX board will lay on its side, with the power supply and an optional 80mm fan on top.

The front of the case has an LCD panel that displays the temperature and HDD/fan working status. The lower half of  the front is mesh to allow greater air flow.  The I/O panel is located on the lower half of the front.  It has four USB ports and a mic and audio port.  It would be nice to see more options on the I/O panel such as firewire and eSATA.

All of the side panels come off in one unit, typical of a cube case.
