The Grid package includes a power cable, mounting screws, a users manual, the USB installation addend and the modular cabling for the power supply.  One nice thing about these Ultra products is the Lifetime Warranty available on both the case and the power supply when you register your products with Ultra.

The 700 Watt XVS Power Supply:

     Ultra ships the optional power supply pre-installed but you will want to remove it to get the packing materials out before use.  I expected to get a base model 700 Watt unit as a pack along so it was a nice surprise to see Ultra is offering a choice of their 500 Watt and 700 Watt XVS Modular units with the Grid.

     The 700 Watt XVS power supply is miles above the type of power supply you get for most major manufacturers and carries a suggested retail price tag of $109!  When you take into account the modular design and the matching black FlexForce cabling, this unit really factors into the price.

Inside:

     A closer look at the inside back of the grid reveals the exhaust cooling duty is handled by a 120 mm fan.  Two of the rear slots are reusable spacers with the rest filled out with break out pieces.  The fan uses a standard three pin lead but should be long enough to reach most motherboard leads.  The case is steel with plastic and mesh accents and is heavier than most mid tower cases but not uncomfortably.

     Looking towards the front reveals a pretty common drive layout.  The Ultra Grid supports a total of 4 5.25" bays, 2 external 3.5 " bays and 5 internal 3.5" bays.  The front 120 mm fan is mounted directly inside the front of the case and the 3 pin lead can be seen here.  All of the edges are protected and there is plenty of room for any of the supported motherboards.
