Using the Software

I'm not going over installation, because it's all automated.  We'll just get right into using it.

The first screen you will see is the System Overview tab.  At first this screen will tell you what you need to do, as in you need to scan your registry or perform a backup.  After you have performed all of the tasks, it acts like a history and tells you when you have last performed an action.

There is a lot happening on the registry tab so we'll talk mainly about this tab.  This is where the work is done.  Here you will decide if you want a full registry scan or just certain parts that you select.

Now, you can scan your entire registry and see how messed up it is.  It will also show you exactly where it found all of the errors.  After the scan is complete it will ask you to backup your current registry and then repair the errors.  Always backup your registry before making any changes.  If you have only downloaded the trial version, it will only fix 15 errors.

Now that you've scanned and fixed all of the errors in your registry, it's a perfect time to defrag the registry.

The settings tab is pretty basic.  You just need to decide how you want your Registry Booster software to start.

If you decide that you need to restore your registry to a previous state, select the restore tab and then select one of your backups.  I would suggest making a backup after each scan.

Conclusion

Registry Booster is a great piece of software.  It was able to find and fix a lot of problems with my registry.  These errors left unfixed could have caused my computer to act slowly or worse crash.  This next part is just a feeling and I really can't find a way to test it, but Windows feels a little more responsive, sort of like after a fresh install.  While I can't guarantee you will get a quicker computer or faster boot times, I can guarantee that Registry Booster will find and fix your registry problems.  Quicker boot times and a more responsive feel may just be a bonus for some of you.  Download or buy your boxed copy here.
